Tiki Room Drummer Assembly

Here are some progression pics to show how this project came together. The greatest challenge was the gear system which I hand carved first but then bought some wooden gears. Space was very limited and it was hard to hand carve gears that wouldn't bind together. I also had several issues with the materials for the axles and rods not being strong enough. So after much trial and error, I was finally able to make it work. The overall piece was carved from foam, wood and spackling paste.
