Jambi Costume Build

This build started with me figuring out the dimensions from many screen shots of Jambi from Pee-Wee's Playhouse. I set out the dimensions by laying the design out in Illustrator. I wanted this to be as close to the real Jambi box as possible. This costume build needed to be lightweight so I used foamboard for the construction of box. This proved to give me the lightweight rigidity but it was also a bit flimsy overall. I would imagine that wood would be a good alternative if you could find the right materials to work with. But in my case, I was constructing this in my apartment in Hawaii. I didn't have a lot of room or tools to cut wood.

I adhered the pieces together with hot glue. The curved part of the design was done with cardstock paper.
