Broadway Villains Trading Cards Design

My girlfriend starred as "The Witch" from Into the Woods in a musical Broadway Villains featured at Centerpoint Theater in Centerville, Utah. Her fellow cast members were so lovely and supportive, that we wanted to create a parting gift. I thought that making some trading cards of the cast would be a fun way to remember the production. So I came up with some quick designs using some of the design elements from the original Villains marketing as well as some inspirations from Beetlejuice. I didn't have a lot of time so it was a matter of grabbing the original headshots from the show and creating a template for the images. Then the backs were designed along with a basic packaging. I had to have gum included (not to eat but for the novelty) and I also created a sticker to be included. The most challenging aspect of this project was probably the folding of the packaging. The paper also proved to be very noticably creased which was understandable of course, but it meant that I had to be extra careful with my fold lines. Overall, this was a lot of fun and the printer was able to knock these out in a very short time. Hats off to everyone involved!
